MS Teams Integration

Last updated: October 26, 2026

This article shows admins how to add the PULT app to Microsoft Teams, and how users activate the PULT chat so they receive notifications in Teams.

📌 Prerequisites: A Microsoft account with administrator rights, and the Microsoft integration must already be set up (see PULT Microsoft Azure Integration).

Add the PULT app to Teams (admins)

1. Add MS Teams in PULT

In the PULT dashboard, go to Integrations and click + Add under MS Teams.

2. Download the app

Download the PULT Teams app as a zip file.

3. Open the Teams admin center

Go to the MS Teams app management page in the Microsoft Teams admin center.

4. Upload new app

Click Upload new app.

5. Upload the zip file

Click Upload and select the zip file you downloaded in step 2.

6. Manage the app

Click the link in the confirmation screen to manage the app you've just installed. The app is now available in the Teams client. To pin it to the Teams sidebar for your users, see Microsoft's guide on app setup policies.

💡 You'll find a more detailed interactive guide at the bottom of the MS Teams integration page in the PULT dashboard.

Activate the PULT chat (users)

Before PULT can send someone notifications in Teams, they need to activate the chat with the PULT app once.

7. Open the PULT app in Teams

Open the PULT app in Teams, e.g. from the sidebar.

8. Open the chat

Switch to the Chat tab.

9. Send /hello

Type /hello and send it. The chat is now activated, and notifications from PULT (e.g. when your visitors check in) arrive here.

Frequently asked questions

A host isn't getting Teams notifications. What can I check?

Check that the host has sent /hello in the PULT chat in Teams (see step 9). Until then, they receive notifications by email instead. Also check that Teams is selected as the notification channel (see Visitor Notifications: Who Is Notified When?).

Does every user have to send /hello?

Yes, each person who should receive notifications in Teams sends /hello once.

Can a Teams group chat be notified instead of a single person?

Yes, for visitor management you can also set up a Teams group chat (e.g. your HR team) as the host. Contact us if you'd like to set this up.
